School and Student Sponsorship Programs

You may sponsor students at 2 educational levels and there are options to sponsor students in each of the countries where we serve:

1. Elementary School and Student Sponsorship Programs

2. High School and University Programs

One application form will allow you to choose from one or both of these programs. Please Click here to go to the on-line application once you have reviewed the options presented below.

When your completed on-line application and sponsorship fee has been received, you will be emailed a picture and description of your sponsored student. You will receive updates or communication from your child as they are available. You may write to your child by e-mailing wendy@foundationforpeace.org, or by sending a letter to the Foundation for Peace (P.O. Box 424, Ironia, NJ 07845).

Elementary School Student Sponsorship Program

Young student

As a sponsor, donating only $175 per year (including an adminisrative fee), you can help secure the education of a child and ease the burden a family or school carries. The Sponsorship Program funds tuition, supplies, teacher salaries and other essential educational costs. We also ask sponsors to consider donating additional funds toward textbooks for students and teachers, professional development for teachers and/or improvements in the schools including the purchase of desks and chairs.

Dominikids Program in the Dominican Republic

For many young children in the Dominican Republic, education is just a dream. They do not attend school because the public facility is either too distant or very overcrowded. Dominikids-sponsored children attend one of nine schools that have been built by FFP volunteers and Dominican partners, working hand in hand. Though the buildings have been provided, the local residents cannot fully sustain these schools without outside help. In the past, teachers have been paid a low wage, and at times, not at all. Some parents have not enrolled each of their children because the monthly tuition for all has been beyond their means; others have felt compelled to keep their children home during the months they could not afford to pay. This sponsorship program addresses these issues and ensures the operation of high quality schools in impoverished neighborhoods.

The program also supports an early learning center for essentially-orphaned children in El Brisal, a squatter's settlement near San Pedro, Dominican Republic.

Cost: $175 per year (including an adminisrative fee). Donations may be made annually, semiannually or monthly. Payment can be made online or by regular mail.

Haitikids Program in Anse-a-pitre and Fond Parisien, Haiti

Young student

The program supports an elementary school in Anse-a-Pitre, Haiti, just across the border from the Dominican Republic in southeast Haiti. It is difficult to obtain regular sponsorship information from this remote site, so sponsorship of a single child is not offered. However, pictures of the children served by the school and information on the programs will be supplied to donors as they are available.

The program also supports in the same manner a new elementary and high school built in Fond Parisien, Haiti. There are no other sources for teacher salaries, other than the tiny amount the families can occasionally offer. These schools are in desperate need of support to keep operating!

Cost: $175 per year(including an adminisrative fee). Donations may be made annually, semiannually or monthly. Payment can be made online or by mail.

High School and University Sponsorship Program

University student

Having your financial support is the difference between being forced to abandon one's aspirations and completing school with the hope of a brighter future. Knowing you care enough to invest in his/her education will give your student encouragement and strengthen his/her resolve to succeed in challenging circumstances.

You can enable a person to have the educational opportunities that we take for granted in the developed world by paying the majority of tuition costs at $375 per year (including an adminisrative fee). As an Advance Education Sponsor, you will be making higher education a reasonable aim for financially struggling students.

Advance Education in the Dominican Republic

Eighth grade is often the highest education level children achieve in the Dominican Republic, but is not adequate. Many Dominicans wish to continue their education, but lack the funds to go on. They strive for a degree because they endeavor to use the skills to help better the lives and opportunities for the people in their communities. Now through the Foundation for Peace Advance Education program, you can help change the goal of a university degree from only a dream to a reality.

Cost: $375 per year (including an adminisrative fee). Donations may be made annually, semiannually or monthly. Payment can be made online or my mail.

Advance Education in Haiti

In Haiti, only about 30% of children go to high school and a dismal 1% of students are able to go to college. Everyone must pay to go to high school and college. Transportation and books are additional costs. As a sponsor, you will be making higher education a reasonable aim for financially struggling students.

Cost: $375 per year(including an adminisrative fee). Donations may be made annually, semiannually or monthly. Payment can be made online or my mail.
