When Eryn Frederick recently felt God calling her to teach in the Dominican Republic, she resigned from her teaching position at Egg Harbor Township High School in New Jersey . Eryn serves the people in the villages of Pantoja by teaching English classes. She is also assisting in the development of an effective English as a Second Language curriculum. An additional responsibility is supporting mission groups that travel to the Dominican Republic throughout the year.
Eryn is working with Kristin Hamner to facilitate the communication necessary for the Dominikids, Dominiversity, and Dominigrad student sponsorship programs created by the Foundation for Peace in Pantoja. The programs are designed to improve and support education in the Dominican Republic and make it accessible to needy students.
Eryn is extremely excited to use her years of teaching experience in the United States to serve others as a full time volunteer teacher/ missionary. She is appreciative of this opportunity to grow in her faith and is ecstatic that God has called her to be a part of this project, allowing her to minister to many people in a variety of ways.
