Volunteer
Foundation for Peace accepts summer interns, short-term volunteers and long-term volunteers to work in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Service time vary from 3 months to a year or more. Many volunteers are individuals who have gone on an FFP mission trip and loved it so much they want to serve for a longer period of time.
In-country needs change and interns respond to these needs. Interns often help host American mission teams and support in-country staff. Sometimes they teach in local schools. DR interns live in the FFP house in Santo Domingo, and Haiti interns live in the FFP house in Croix des Bouquets.

Anyone considering becoming an in-country volunteer with FFP must:
- be responsible
- be flexible
- be enthusiastic
- work well with teams
- take initiative
- possess good communication skills
- be comfortable serving others
- speak intermediate (or better) Spanish (for the DR)
- be empathetic
- have a growing relationship with Christ
Interns/long-term volunteers are responsible for raising the funds to cover their expenses during the duration of their internship.
